Buttercream Icing Recipe
Dissolve ¾ cup of granulated sugar in ½ cup of boiling water, add ¼ cup Ateco meringue powder and beat to peak. Stir in one pound of sifted powdered sugar and 2 ½ cups of vegetable shortening. Add flavor if desired.

Mix ¼ cup of Ateco meringue powder with a ½ cup of cold water and beat until peaks form, then add 4 cups of sifted powdered sugar and beat to desired consistency.
